About Juvena Huang

Her Story

At 20, Juvena found her ticket to freedom when she bought her first scooter—a decision that set her on an extraordinary path of self-discovery and connection. Combining her love for riding with a deep curiosity about the world, she left behind the familiar comforts of home after the sudden loss of a close friend, embarking on a life-changing journey to challenge her own limits.

What started as a solo ride evolved into a journey of shared stories, empathy, and resilience. Juvena rode 44,000 km from Singapore to Europe, crossing 25 countries over 27 months. Through her popular Facebook page, The Wandering Wasp, she shares not only her adventures but also intimate, untold perspectives of the places she visits—revealing sides of cultures and communities rarely captured by mainstream media.

Through the art of storytelling, Juvena bridges divides, cultivates curiosity, and invites her audience to see the world through a lens of empathy and exploration. Her experiences inspire others to step out of self-imposed boundaries, find strength in vulnerability, and unlock their true potential.

Her journey has been featured in prominent Singaporean publications like The Straits Times, Today, CarBuyer, and Her World. She has also been spotlighted internationally, interviewed by renowned adventurers such as Lois Pryce in Bikes Magazine (UK) and Nathan Millward in Getting Into Adventure: A Collection of Stories to Inspire (UK), as well as featured in the photobook I Can. I Will. Women Overlanding The World. Juvena’s story was recognized by Popsugar Culture, naming her one of the “5 Solo Female Travel Bloggers Challenging Stereotypes,” and she was catapulted into the international spotlight with her appearance in Dear Alyne’s viral video, Where Women Can’t Go.

Through her journey, Juvena strives to inspire others to break free from self-limiting beliefs and societal molds. She believes in the power of exploration, empathy, and curiosity to foster genuine connections across borders. By sharing her experiences, she hopes to empower others to challenge their own boundaries and discover new dimensions of themselves and the world around them.
